Among the 864 candidates for the 16th National Assembly, there are 7 female candidates from the 2000s generation running in various provinces and cities.

The National Election Council recently announced the official list of 864 candidates for the 16th National Assembly in 182 constituencies nationwide. The total number of National Assembly representatives to be elected is 500.

CandidatesNgo Kieu AnhBorn in 2000, she is an employee of the Human Resources Committee of Agribank, originally from Ninh Binh province. This female candidate is running in electoral district No. 5 of Hanoi City, which includes the wards of Tay Tuu, Phu Dien, Xuan Dinh, Dong Ngoc, Thuong Cat and the communes of Hoai Duc, Duong Hoa, Son Dong, An Khanh, Dan Phuong, O Dien, and Lien Minh.

According to the National Election Council, out of a total of 864 candidates, 392 are female (45.37%). 188 are from ethnic minorities (21.76%); 65 are non-Party members (7.52%); and 612 are first-time candidates (70.83%).

In terms of age, 187 candidates were under 40 years old (accounting for 21.64%).
