In the first seven months of 2025, the consumer price index in Nghe An province increased by 1.94%.

In July 2025, rising construction material prices and the outbreak of African swine fever were the main reasons for the consumer price index (CPI) increasing by 0.1% compared to the previous month and by 1.73% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Nghe An Provincial Statistics Office, out of 11 main consumer goods and services groups, 5 groups saw price index increases compared to the previous month: Housing, electricity, water and construction materials increased by 0.62%; Culture, entertainment and tourism increased by 0.56%; Household equipment and appliances increased by 0.18%; Food and food services increased by 0.11%; Beverages and tobacco increased by 0.06%; Other goods and services increased by 0.03%.

Three price index groups remained unchanged compared to the previous month: Postal and telecommunications services, Education, and medicines and medical services.

Two groups of indicators decreased compared to the previous month: Transportation decreased by 0.49% and clothing, hats, and footwear decreased by 0.24%.

On average, the consumer price index increased by 1.94% in the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year.

Eight out of eleven commodity groups saw increases, including: Medicines and medical services (up 13.33%); Other goods and services (up 6%); Food and catering services (up 3.02%); Clothing, hats and footwear (up 1.23%); Culture, entertainment and tourism (up 1.21%); Beverages and tobacco (up 0.89%); and Household equipment and appliances (up 0.76%).

Three out of eleven commodity groups saw a decrease: Transportation (down 5.95%), Education (down 0.84%), and Postal and Telecommunications (down 0.33%).

The gold price index in July 2025 increased by 1.25% compared to the previous month and by 48.53% year-on-year. The average for the first seven months of 2025 increased by 47.38% year-on-year. Domestic gold prices fluctuated in line with world gold prices.

The US dollar index rose 0.32% compared to the previous month and 2.54% year-on-year. The average for the first seven months of 2025 was a 2.53% year-on-year increase.
