760 million VND donated at Viettel Fastest race will be sent to 'Heart for you'
(Baonghean.vn) - The 760 million VND BIB registration fee and donations from benefactors will be transferred by the organizers to the Tam Long Viet Fund to support the humanitarian heart surgery program "Heart for Children".
On October 9, 2022, the Viettel Fastest race officially kicked off for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 2,500 athletes from many provinces and cities across the country.
Going beyond the framework of a normal sports activity, Viettel Fastest received the response of many professional athletes and running enthusiasts because of the humane meaning of the race - all revenue from selling BIBs (registration numbers, printed separately for each athlete to help classify the race distance and track results) was donated by the organizers to "Heart for Children" - a free humanitarian heart surgery program founded and implemented by Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group and Tam Long Viet Fund of Vietnam Television.

In the previous two seasons held in Hanoi, the race attracted more than 3,500 athletes, bringing in 1.1 billion VND for the program "Heart for Children; strongly spreading the meaning of humanity as well as the spirit of sports training, especially running, to the community.

With a single 10km race, athletes will challenge themselves in one of three categories: NEW PR, SEMI PRO and PRO, with a specified time of 90-100 minutes, 60-65 minutes and 42-45 minutes (men and women). The cool green road around Phu My Hung urban area and the cool weather have created favorable conditions for athletes to achieve the highest results on the race track, recording new peak records.

In the final results, athletes Nguyen Anh Tri - BIB number P-4015 (male) and Nguyen Thi Phuong Trinh - BIB number P-4034 (female) won first place in the Professional category (Pro) with results of 00:34:17.1 and 00:41:25.3 respectively; athletes Bui Tuan Lam - BIB number S-6297 (male) and Nguyen Le Tran - BIB number S-6534 (female) won first place in the Semi-Pro category (results of 00:36:38.0 and 00:45:03.2).
The first place in the New PR category was won by athlete Hoang Trong Dao - BIB number N-8421 (male - time 00:42:29.6) and Nguyen Thi Thuong - BIB number N-8409 (female - time 00:47:22.8). In addition to the First, Second and Third prizes for each category, the Organizing Committee also awarded age-based prizes to the athletes with the best results. The total cash prize of Viettel Fastest was up to 138 million VND.

Accordingly, the online management system uses registration codes, facial recognition check-in technology, electronic waivers and QR Codes to easily receive or authorize others to receive Race-kits. In addition to technology applications, athletes can register and transfer BIBs online very conveniently, without going through the organizing committee and especially completely free of charge.
With the desire to spread the love of sports in general, running in particular and the humanistic meaning of the race, Viettel Telecom said that Viettel Fastest will become an annual event, and at the same time hopes to expand to many provinces and cities across the country./.
