800 wounded and sick soldiers in Anh Son district received free medical examinations and medication.
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 15th, the Youth Committee of the Army, the General Political Department of the Vietnam Army, in coordination with Military Hospital 4 and other partner units, organized free medical examinations, treatment, and medication distribution, as well as gift giving, for wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and their relatives in Anh Son district.
Here, over 800 individuals, including war invalids, sick soldiers, their relatives, poor and disadvantaged households, and families receiving preferential treatment in the area, were examined and advised by doctors from Military Hospital 4 on eye, cardiovascular, lung, ear, nose, throat, bone and joint, urinary, and war-related illnesses. After the examination, all 800 individuals received free medication.

In addition to providing free health check-ups, consultations, and medication, the delegation also presented 39 gifts worth a total of 29 million VND to families entitled to preferential policies, war invalids, families in difficult circumstances, students from families entitled to preferential policies, children of Agent Orange victims, and poor students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.

On this occasion, the delegation coordinated with the Anh Son District Military Command to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a "100 Dong House" for a comrade, with a total support amount of 70 million VND, presented to Captain Nguyen Chi Cong, whose father died in the Cambodian battlefield.
Comrade Cong is currently working at the Anh Son District Military Command; his family is facing many difficulties.
These activities, organized by the Youth Committee of the Army, the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, Military Hospital 4, Military Region 4, and partner units to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), demonstrate the principle of "Remembering the source when drinking water" and "Showing gratitude," contributing to encouraging war invalids and sick soldiers who sacrificed their lives and blood for national independence and the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
