82% of Russians are satisfied with President Putin
The results of a recent poll show that 82% of Russians are satisfied with what Mr. Putin has done as president.

In the same poll conducted by the Levada Center, 50% of respondents said that Russia is developing in the right direction. 32% of respondents thought the country was “coming to an end” and 19% said the question was too complicated to give a simple answer, according to RT.
The poll results also showed that 48% of people support what Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is doing, and 43% approve of the government's activities.
When pollsters asked respondents to rank politicians by popularity and public trust, Russian President Vladimir Putin topped the list with 49 percent of the vote, with Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu coming in second with 19 percent of the vote and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov coming in third, just 2 percent behind. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Medvedev came in fifth with 12 percent of the vote.
Last June, President Putin's approval rating reached 89%, the highest in history.
