8BitDo has just launched the Arcade Controller Pro, featuring a 1.47-inch screen, hot-swappable Kailh mechanical switches, and exceptional compatibility with the Nintendo Switch 2.
Following the success of the standard Arcade Controller and Xbox versions, 8BitDo has officially introduced an upgraded version called Arcade Controller Pro. As the name suggests, this device offers significant improvements in both hardware and control features, targeting professional gamers and enthusiasts of fighting games.
Optimized design and new button layout.
The most noticeable change on the Arcade Controller Pro is the refined, more compact and closely spaced button layout. According to 8BitDo, this design places the buttons within a natural reach of the user, optimizing reaction speed during intense matches. The button caps have also been improved to provide a better tactile feel.
Notably, the Pro version is equipped with up to 5 programmable buttons (P1 to P5) with locking covers, surpassing the 4 buttons on the standard version and only 2 buttons on the Xbox version. The device also comes with a detachable magnetic wrist rest, helping to reduce wrist fatigue during long gaming sessions.
1.47-inch screen: Smart control center
The most valuable improvement on the Arcade Controller Pro is its integrated 1.47-inch screen. This not only displays battery capacity but also provides a direct interface for adjusting settings without needing any software on the computer. Through this screen, gamers can:
