9 Vinh city civil servants voluntarily retire early
According to information from the Department of Home Affairs, the Provincial People's Committee has just approved the voluntary early retirement of 9 civil servants of Vinh city according to the staff streamlining plan as requested by the Vinh City People's Committee.
Specifically, in Official Dispatch No. 11633/UBND-TH dated December 26, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the list of subjects implementing the staff streamlining policy according to Decree 29/2023/ND-CP dated June 3, 2023 of the Government in the last 6 months of 2024 in Nghe An province, based on the review, the Department of Home Affairs announced the approval of the results of implementing the staff streamlining policy at the Vinh City People's Committee. Accordingly, in the first 6 months of 2025, this area has 9 people who will retire early from January 1, 2025.

9 approved civil servants include: Mr. Tran Quang Dai - Chairman of Trung Do Ward People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hong Quang - Vice Chairman of Hung Chinh Commune People's Committee; Mr. Hoang Dinh Hung - Party Secretary, Chairman of Quang Trung Ward People's Council (after merging with Quang Trung Ward); Ms. Vo Thi Tra Lan - Office - Statistics officer, Hong Son Ward People's Committee (after merging with Vinh Tan Ward); Mr. Luong Van Quyen - Culture - Social officer of Quang Trung Ward (after merging with Quang Trung Ward); Mr. Dang Phuoc Dai - Military Commander, Nghi Lien Commune People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong - Chairwoman of Le Mao Ward Women's Union (after merging with Quang Trung Ward); Mr. Thai Thanh Ha - Head of Vinh City Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (old); Mr. Duong Hai Long - Civil servant of Land Administration - Construction - Agriculture and Environment of Nghi Lien Commune.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Vinh City People's Committee said: The above civil servants voluntarily retired under the streamlining of staff to create conditions for the organization to rearrange the staff after Cua Lo town merged into Vinh city and implemented Resolution No. 18 of the Politburo on streamlining the administrative apparatus, so they will be considered and enjoy the regimes according to regulations. Among the 9 civil servants retiring under the streamlining, 8 people retired before the age and 1 person retired due to resignation.

According to Decree 29/2023/ND-CP dated June 3, 2023 of the Government, the above individuals when applying for early retirement will receive the lowest support of 128.06 million VND and the highest of 584.3 million VND. However, from January 1, 2025, Decree 178/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 will take effect with a number of conditions and greater preferential benefits, so the People's Committee of Vinh City is considering further and the Department of Home Affairs is sending a document to the Ministry of Home Affairs and waiting for the Circular guiding Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP of the Government. In addition to the support policies under Decree 178/2024/ND-CP, if cadres retire under the reduction category, the province will have other support policies and the departments and branches are developing and submitting them to the People's Committee and the Provincial People's Council.
Previously, the Vinh City Party Committee held a ceremony to hand over the decision on early retirement according to Decree No. 29/2023/ND-CP of the Government regulating the streamlining of staff for 2 officials of the City Party Committee, Mr. Pham Trung Thanh, an expert of the City Party Committee Office, retired 5 years early and Mr. Le Duc Tho, an expert of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, retired 27 months early; at the same time, the City People's Committee agreed to allow 7 other people to retire early from January 1, 2025./.
