Runner-up Phuong Anh receives a 3 billion VND PhD scholarship from RMIT.
Miss Vietnam 2020 runner-up Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh has just been awarded a full scholarship worth nearly 3 billion VND by RMIT University for a four-year PhD in Management program.
On November 29th, runner-up Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh announced that she has received a full scholarship for a PhD in Management program at RMIT University. The scholarship is worth nearly 3 billion VND, lasts for four years, and is expected to begin in November 2025.

The journey to winning a scholarship.
To receive the scholarship, Phuong Anh spent over a year preparing her application, conducting research, and attending interviews. She said this was a long-cherished journey aimed at further expanding her knowledge and pursuing values related to research, education, and making sustainable contributions to the community.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, the quality of the research proposal, and the applicant's experience and capabilities. Phuong Anh dedicated significant time to preparing her research topic and successfully passed the selection rounds at the university level.
Career and academic pursuits go hand in hand.
Phuong Anh stated that in the near future, she will pursue a doctoral program while continuing her teaching job at RMIT Ho Chi Minh City. She will become a lecturer at the university from June 2024 after receiving her master's degree. In addition, she will continue to participate in entertainment events as an MC and fashion model.
Impressive educational background
Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh, born in 1998, won the title of First Runner-up at the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant. She has an outstanding academic record since high school.
As a student, Phuong Anh won first place in the 2015 Miss Ao Dai Contest and third place in the 2016 National Excellent Student Competition in French. She was directly admitted to Hanoi Foreign Trade University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and later chose to study at RMIT University with a full four-year scholarship.
In March 2021, Phuong Anh graduated as valedictorian in Information Management Systems. In September 2021, she received a 50% scholarship worth 300 million VND for a Master's degree in Global Trade at RMIT. In terms of foreign languages, she holds an IELTS 8.0 certificate and a DALF C1 certificate in French.
In 2022, Phuong Anh represented Vietnam at the Miss International pageant. In September 2023, she married businessman and doctor Ho Dac Duc.
