First runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2020, Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh, has been accepted into the PhD program in Management at RMIT University, with a valuable full scholarship, continuing her career path in education and research.

Miss Vietnam runner-up Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh has just announced her acceptance into the PhD in Management program at RMIT University, along with a full scholarship worth nearly 3 billion VND. To achieve this, she spent more than a year preparing her application, conducting research, and going through many rigorous interview rounds.

Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh, born in 1998, is known to the public as the first runner-up at the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant. From the moment she was crowned, she made a strong impression with her gentle appearance and outstanding academic achievements.

Phuong Anh won the title of First Runner-up at Miss Vietnam 2020.

Previously, she won third prize in the 2016 National Excellent Student Competition in French, and was directly admitted to Hanoi Foreign Trade University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. In terms of foreign languages, Phuong Anh holds an IELTS 8.0 certificate and a DALF C1 French certificate.

After winning the title, she continued her education and graduated as valedictorian in Information Management Systems from RMIT University in 2021. By April 2024, she had completed her Master of Global Trade program with honors. In 2022, Phuong Anh represented Vietnam at the Miss International competition but did not achieve the high ranking she had hoped for.

Transitioning from TV presenter to a career in education.

After concluding her journey in beauty pageants, Phuong Anh focused on building an image of an intellectual. She has served as a judge and MC for many cultural and educational programs and actively participated in community activities.

Phuong Anh used to be an MC for VTV9.

In March 2022, she officially joined VTV9 as an editor and presenter for the news program "24h Overview". However, in early 2025, she decided to leave VTV to focus on her career as a university lecturer and pursue research activities.

A fulfilling married life with a PhD husband.

Besides her academic career, runner-up Phuong Anh also enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She married businessman Ho Dac Duc in September 2023. Her husband is also pursuing a PhD in the UK and is the son of Professor Ho Dac Loc, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH).

Runner-up Phuong Anh has a fulfilling marriage with her husband, a doctor.

Phuong Anh said that her husband has always supported and created opportunities for her career development. At 27, she feels satisfied and grateful for her current life, having achieved many important milestones from her teaching career and media activities to her marriage.
