First runner-up Thuy Dung represented Vietnam at Miss International 2017.

Runner-up Thùy Dung is urgently completing the application to the Department of Performing Arts for permission to participate in the Miss International 2017 competition.

Thùy Dung will represent Vietnam at Miss International 2017, held from October 25th to November 14th in Tokyo, Japan.

Currently, Thuy Dung and the copyright holder, Elite Vietnam Co., Ltd., are completing the procedures to obtain permission from the Department of Performing Arts.

Sharing information on her personal Facebook page, runner-up Thuy Dung said: "As a contestant who rose to prominence from Miss Vietnam, I believe I have a responsibility to represent the beauty and intelligence of Vietnam in major and prestigious beauty pageants around the world. This is also an honor that I must strive to improve myself and break through even further."

Thuy Dung, born in 1996, besides being the second runner-up in Miss Vietnam 2016, also won the title of Miss Foreign Trade University 2016. She is currently a fourth-year student majoring in International Finance at Foreign Trade University, and is proficient in playing musical instruments, singing, and communicating fluently in English and Japanese.

Thùy Dung is 1.72m tall with measurements of 84-61-90. Since winning the title of First Runner-up, she has received much love and affection from the public for her friendliness, approachability, and lack of scandals.
