AC Milan want to revive Marcus Rashford
AC Milan are considering a loan move for striker Marcus Rashford from Manchester United in the January 2025 transfer window.

Rashford surprised many when he admitted in an interview in November that he was looking for a new challenge, which became clear when he was not used in the first team by manager Ruben Amorim. The 27-year-old was even left out of the squad for the 2-0 defeat to Newcastle. He was also absent from the 2-2 draw with Liverpool recently due to health reasons.
Rashford and Man United are currently at odds, with the club wanting to sell him for £40m. However, that fee, combined with Rashford's £325,000-a-week wages, makes it difficult for other clubs to make an approach. Man United are also considering loaning Rashford with an option to buy, which has opened the door for a number of clubs, including AC Milan.
Milan have struggled to score goals with injuries to stars Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic, so they have turned their attention to Rashford as a solution to their attacking woes for the second half of the season. However, AC Milan can only offer a short-term loan deal without an option to buy. This, combined with the possibility of not being able to pay Rashford’s full wages during the loan period, makes the deal difficult for them.
Manchester United are currently looking to offload high-earning players who contribute little to the team, in order to free up funds to recruit players who fit the tactical scheme of coach Ruben Amorim. Despite the need to offload players, MU still faces financial barriers and it is not easy to agree on Rashford's future in this transfer window.
