In an announcement on the Vietnam Football Federation’s homepage, the VFF confirmed this mistake. Accordingly, the semi-final match of the 2018 AFC U23 Championship between Vietnam and Qatar will take place at 3:00 p.m. Hanoi time on January 23, at Changzhou Stadium, China.
This is the match schedule determined by the AFC's draw code from the beginning of the tournament. To prepare for this match, Coach Park Hang-seo and his team traveled from Changshu to Changzhou, the venue for the semi-final match with Qatar.
Similar to the quarter-final match against Iraq, Vietnam had one less day off than Qatar. Another advantage for the West Asian representative is that they do not have to travel, as they play the quarter-final match in Changzhou.
Before that, another confusion also came to Vietnam whenGoogle fill in the name Iraqinto the first semi-final of the U23 Asian finals, instead of Park Hang-seo and his team.
