Who is winning the US-China trade war?
Experts believe that China is gaining the upper hand in the intense trade war with the United States.

According to RIA Novosti, Jeffrey Sachs, a professor of economics at Columbia University and director of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, believes that China is gaining the upper hand in the trade war with the United States.
"In the trade war between the US and China, Beijing is winning. China is not heavily dependent on the US market," a Sachs expert stated at the Foreign Relations Forum in Antalya on April 11.
"If trading stops, everyone loses. It's not a case of one side winning and the other losing," the expert added.
Following a series of moves in the trade war, the US's retaliatory tariffs on Chinese goods have reached 145%, and China's counter-tariffs on US goods are also at 125%.
Meanwhile, commenting on the escalating tensions in trade relations with China, President Donald Trump said the situation would lead to a positive agreement.
"I think something positive will come from this escalation," the American leader told reporters, adding that he always finds common ground with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
President Trump emphasized that the U.S. is in a good position, and Washington is in contact with "many countries."
The Chinese embassy in the US shared with RIA Novosti its view on the US administration's approach to trade, stating that Beijing will only negotiate on the basis of equality and mutual respect, calling for an end to economic threats and pressure, and emphasizing that "no side will win in trade wars."
The White House maintains that Washington's actions cannot be judged in that way.
