Krasnoyarsk authorities have failed to auction Vladimir Lenin's house in the city center, where the leader worked in 1897.

The two-story wooden building with an area of ​​about 77 square meters was tried twice. However, no one was found to buy the historical monument, and the auction was declared unsuccessful. The house is estimated to be worth 4.5 million rubles.

One of the conditions of the purchase was that further repairs be carried out on the building. A new closing date is yet to be determined. During Soviet times, the building housed a Lenin museum. Today, only a memorial plaque and relics remind us of the house's past.
