Trump's daughter is doing well in China
According to the AP news agency, the Chinese government pre-approved the registration of three trademarks by Ivanka Trump's company, the daughter of the US President, on April 6, when she and her husband Jared Kushner had dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Mar-a-Lago castle in Florida.

We’re talking about jewelry brands, handbags, and spa services. What role does the president’s daughter’s business play in promoting US-China relations? Here’s what Russian Sinologist Mikhail Korostikov has to say.
The Ivanka Trump Marks LLC brand is actively expanding its sales geography and product line, making no secret of its founder's ties to the current occupant of the White House.
At the same time, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner actually act as special envoys of the White House, dealing with Chinese officials on many issues of developing bilateral relations, sometimes quite sensitive issues.
Such a mix of political and business relationships is considered unacceptable by many in the United States.
“They are so deeply involved in business with China, I would never allow them to get involved in political matters with this country,” said former White House ethics committee head Norman Eisen.
Indeed, the Trump family’s ties to Chinese businessmen are extensive. Last year, Jared Kushner’s firm tried to attract hundreds of millions of dollars in investment from Anbang Insurance Group, which is seen as having ties to the Chinese government.
After the talks were made public, the deal fell through. Ivanka Trump’s brand sales have been more successful: in the first quarter of 2017, their sales in China increased by 40%. In China, Ivanka has registered 16 trademarks, with another 32 pending.
The trademark registration is necessary to help Ivanka avoid intellectual property theft: after Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, many Chinese companies rushed to register trademarks with his daughter's name, hoping to get rich in China with her fame.
Ivanka Trump's autobiography was recently translated into Chinese and is selling very well. Ivanka Trump has become an idol for young Chinese women, she is considered a beautiful and successful businesswoman, while maintaining a relationship with her father and respecting him, Kommersant journalist Mikhail Korostik added in his opinion.
Ivanka's lawyer Jamie Gorelick said there was no conflict of interest: the president's daughter would not participate in negotiations that involved discussions about the sale of goods produced by her company. But that doesn't mean she couldn't, for example, participate in foreign policy discussions.
Ivanka Trump is currently active in this direction. During President Xi Jinping's visit to the US, Ivanka's five-year-old daughter Arabella sang him a Chinese song, having learned Chinese almost from a young age.
In February, Ivanka and her daughter visited the Chinese Embassy to celebrate the Lunar New Year. They were greeted by Chinese Ambassador Cui Tiankai and were covered by Chinese television. Many Americans believe that Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner played a prominent role in preparing for the first meeting between Xi Jinping and Donald Trump.
