A heartwarming "Trade Union Meal"

On the afternoon of August 19th, Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor - attended the "Trade Union Meal" event at the Em-Tech Vietnam Co., Ltd. branch in Nghe An. Representatives from various departments also attended the event.Provincial Labor Union, leaders of the Vinh City Federation of Labor, and more than 400 union members and workers at the enterprise.

Accordingly, today's lunch for union members and workers of Em-Tech Vietnam Co., Ltd.'s branch in Nghe An includes new dishes such as: stir-fried shrimp with lime leaves, grilled pork skewers with lemongrass, Southern-style beef noodle soup, and areca flower sweet soup… Each meal is worth 45,000 VND, of which 25,000 VND is subsidized by the Vinh City Labor Union.

With the aim of sharing and providing support, the Provincial Labor Union presented the company's trade union with 3 million VND.

In a cheerful and friendly atmosphere, Comrade Kha Van Tam and the delegation from the Provincial Labor Union and the Vinh City Labor Union visited the workers and shared a meal with them.

Also this afternoon, the "Trade Union Meal" program was simultaneously implemented at many other locations throughout the province. In Con Cuong district, the program was held at Minh Anh Con Cuong Garment Joint Stock Company with nearly 500 meals; in Dien Chau district, the program was held at Wooin Vina Co., Ltd. with nearly 2,000 meals; and at the Trade Union of the Department of Science and Technology, more than 40 meals were provided…

On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Union allocated 32.4 million VND from its regular operating budget to support disadvantaged grassroots trade union units and presented 6 million VND to individual grassroots trade unions.

"Trade Union Meal" is an activity organized by the grassroots trade union in coordination with the leadership of the agency/unit and the employer to enhance the value of meals, share experiences, and encourage participation.workersafter working hours. This creates an atmosphere of unity and understanding, building trust and attachment among union members and workers towards the trade union and the enterprise.

The program also serves to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
