Fun experience

From early morning, manycontributor(CTV) gathered at the Nghe An Newspaper office to participate in a field trip to the Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company's grinding station and Vissai Nghi Thiet international port (Nghi Loc). Although 200 km away, CTV Vo Dinh Tuan (Cultural - Sports and Communication Center of Tuong Duong district) was still present to participate in the field trip.

“The temperature dropped and it was very cold, but I still woke up at 3am to set off, because this was an important reunion, a time of solidarity and sharing between the staff, reporters of the Newspaper and the local collaborators. Coming here is like coming home to a common home, receiving words of encouragement and sharing, I really feel warm.”

Along with Dinh Tuan, many collaborators from far away also prepared their work and arrived quite early, such as Ba Hau (Con Cuong), Cam Tu, Bong Mai (Tan Ky), Thu Huong (Quy Hop) and Quang Huy (Thai Hoa town)... Despite the long journey in the cold, in the moment of reunion, everyone clearly expressed their joy through their smiles, eyes and firm handshakes.

This year, in order to change the atmosphere of the conference, the Editorial Board decided to organize a field trip for reporters and collaborators to enhance learning, exchange experiences and strengthen solidarity. In particular, within the framework of the field trip, there is a photo contest, which is a way for collaborators to share their visual skills. From there, it contributes to improving the quality of news, articles and photos published in Nghe An Newspaper.

Leaving Vinh city, the car heads to Nghi Thiet beach (Nghi Loc), where the Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station and seaport are located, belonging toSong Lam Cement Joint Stock CompanyThe journey is about 30 minutes but is always filled with singing, laughter and cheerful poems that dispel the cold.

Most people came here for the first time, so they were excited about the modern production line, especially when visiting the wharf of more than 2 km long used to transport products to large ships. The northeast monsoon blew fiercely, the cold seeped into the skin and flesh, but everyone was still busy working.

Photographer Nguyen Trong Sach is a long-time collaborator in the photography field. During the whole session of working with the cameras, it seemed like he didn't want to waste even a minute. "This is a rare opportunity for me to approach the production line and the wharf, to record the scenery and important and special moments. And having been associated with Nghe An Newspaper for many years, I always appreciate the sharing and encouragement from the editorial board. Therefore, I always reserve my impressive works and beautiful moments for the Newspaper's publications" - Mr. Trong Sach shared.

Having been attached to the mountains and forests of the West all year round, with villages, streams and steep hills, this was the first time he came to a large-scale project on the beach, CTV Ba Hau could not hide his excitement. He took the opportunity to record the scenery of the factory, seaport, countryside and production activities, especially the working atmosphere of the workers.

Mr. Hau said: “Today’s field trip, although short, has given me an interesting experience of production activities as well as a corner of coastal life. In other words, the field trip and experience have helped me broaden my vision and life experience, and learn more about working skills, especially in terms of images.”

Within one morning, the field trip andexperienceat Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station and Seaport brought new and interesting things to the collaborators. And more importantly, they were able to interact with each other, strengthen solidarity and close ties; exchange and learn from experiences, together aiming to improve their working skills, and contribute more to the publications of Nghe An Newspaper.

Accompanying on the new journey

In the afternoon, the Collaborator Meeting was officially held, and collaborators inside and outside the province gathered at the Nghe An Newspaper office. After a long time, they met again with joy, warm smiles and tight handshakes. Everyone felt like they were meeting relatives in the same house, the fatigue, anxiety and even the cold outside seemed to disappear, leaving only warmth and affection.

One of the elders and long-time collaborators is Mr. Tran Dinh Ha (Thanh Chuong District Culture - Sports and Communication Center) with nearly 40 years of association and many years as a typical contributor to Nghe An Newspaper.

Mr. Ha confided: “Over the past decades, I have been attached to and witnessed the process of change and development of my hometown newspaper. Nghe An Newspaper has given me another “playground” to assert myself, the upward transformation of the Newspaper has helped me strive in my profession to keep up with the development trend, partly meeting the requirements of journalists in the 4.0 era. Every time I meet collaborators, it is a joy, a spiritual motivation for me to pursue journalism.”

Tran Huong Thao is the youngest person to attend.Conferencemeeting with a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper. Thao is currently a final year student at a university in Hanoi, often collaborating in the “Weekend Stories” column on the Newspaper’s YouTube channel. For the 22-year-old girl, attending this big conference is a great honor, as well as an opportunity to learn and gain more experience in journalism.

“Today, coming to the editorial office to attend the conference, at first I was somewhat hesitant and bewildered because most of the people around me were older and had many years of experience in the profession. But then, that feeling quickly disappeared, giving way to joy, closeness and sincerity. Coming here, participating in the experience trip and meeting the staff, reporters and collaborators, I realized that I have gained more practical knowledge, more confidence and maturity in my thinking and work.”

And Huong Thao also expressed her desire to collaborate in a few more columns, to continue to exchange and meet to learn and stick with journalism for a long time.

The atmosphere was even more bustling and exciting when it came to the awarding of photo prizes to collaborators, especially the awards to collaborators with excellent works and many contributions in 2020.

Coming from Dien Chau district, Ms. Nguyen Mai Giang shared: “I am really happy and excited to attend the conference, experience the field and receive the title of outstanding collaborator. That is the motivation for me to continue to strive and collaborate in the future. And even happier is to meet, share and interact with cadres, reporters and collaborators near and far. At the conference, the contributors were even more excited and proud when comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper expressed her gratitude for their contributions over the years. She compared the contributors to "extended arms" and "companions" of the editorial staff and reporters on the information and communication front. At the same time, she hoped that the contributors would continue to promote their important role, join hands and contribute to Nghe An Newspaper to firmly step on the new path.
