August 17, 2018 is the 17th day of the 8th lunar month. Tan Dau Day, Tan Dau Month, Mau Tuat Year.
September 26, 2018 is Wednesday.
August 17th lunar calendar is a good day.
August 17th of the Lunar calendar is the dayHeaven's Way.
Origin of the lunar calendar
The lunar calendar, also known as the perpetual calendar, is a calendar based on the cycles of the moon. The only calendar. In fact, the lunar calendar is the Islamic calendar, in which each year contains exactly 12 lunar months. The characteristic of a purely lunar calendar, as in the case of the Islamic calendar, is that it is a continuous cycle of full moons and is completely unrelated to the seasons. Therefore, the Islamic lunar year is about 11 or 12 days shorter than each solar year, and only returns to a position consistent with the solar year after every 33 or 34 Islamic years. The Islamic calendar is used mainly for religious purposes. In Saudi Arabia, the calendar is also used for commercial purposes.
Most other calendars, whether called "lunar" or perpetual calendars, are actually lunisolar calendars. This means that in those calendars, the months are maintained according to the cycle of the Moon, but sometimes leap months are added according to certain rules to adjust the lunar cycles to match the solar year. Currently, in Vietnamese, when people talk about the lunar calendar, they think of the calendar that is based on the foundations and principles of the Chinese calendar, but is edited to follow UTC+7 instead of UTC+8. It is a lunisolar calendar in the true sense, not a pure lunar calendar. Because the way of calculating the lunar calendar is different from that of China, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year sometimes does not completely coincide with the Spring Festival of the Chinese and other countries influenced by Chinese culture and other Han culture circles.
Since the purely lunar calendar has only 12 lunar months (synodal months) in each year, this cycle (354.367 days) is sometimes also called the lunar year.
Lunar calendar
A lunisolar calendar is a calendar used by many cultures in which the dates of the calendar indicate both the phase of the Moon (or lunar phase) and the time of the solar year (solar calendar). If the solar year is defined as the tropical year, the lunisolar calendar provides an indication of the seasons; if it is calculated according to the sidereal year, the calendar predicts the constellation near which a full moon (apocryphal) is likely to occur. There is usually an additional requirement that a year contain only a natural number of months, 12 in most years but every 2 (or 3) years there is a year with 13 months.
