Heartwarming bond between soldiers and civilians in border villages of Nghe An.
In anticipation of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and the National Unity Day, units of the Border Guard of Nghe An province have coordinated with Party committees and local authorities in border areas to organize numerous activities, contributing to strengthening military-civilian solidarity along the border and enhancing national unity in the border regions of the Fatherland.
In Huoi Co village (Nhon Mai commune), the Nhon Mai Border Guard Station, in coordination with the local authorities, organized the National Unity Day, presenting gifts to the village management board and residents. On this occasion, the unit also presented gifts to Tang Sau village (in Laos), a sister village of Huoi Co, demonstrating the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

In Na Ngoi commune, the Nam Can Border Guard Station, in coordination with the "Lighting Up Hope" Club (Ninh Binh province), organized the "Crimson Red Border Region" program, distributing 50 gift packages to poor households in Nam Khien 1 and Nam Khien 2 villages; donating blankets, warm clothes, books, school supplies, etc., to Nam Can Kindergarten and Nam Can Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary & Secondary School. The unit also presented 100 national flags to the people of Nam Can village and over 200 sets of clothing to the station's charity house.

The Muong Ai Border Guard Station participated in the festival in Muong Tip commune and presented 45 gifts to disadvantaged families in the area, contributing to encouraging people to stabilize their lives.

In Na Loi commune, the Na Loi Border Guard Post participated in the Great Unity Festival in villages such as Huoi Kho and Noong Han, the most remote and difficult villages in the commune. Along with cultural activities, folk games, and traditional local customs, the unit coordinated with the local government to present 18 gifts to poor households, contributing to strengthening the solidarity and close relationship between the Border Guard force and the ethnic minority people.
Alongside recreational activities, border guard units actively participated in environmental sanitation, repairing village roads, and visiting and giving gifts to families with preferential policies and those in particularly difficult circumstances. These meaningful actions spread the spirit of mutual support and compassion, giving people more motivation to overcome difficulties and strive for a better life.

Colonel Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Political Commissar of the Nghe An Border Guard, emphasized: “Activities leading up to the National Unity Day not only help to recall the glorious traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, but also serve as vivid evidence of the close and inseparable relationship between the Border Guard and the people in border areas. This is an important foundation for building and developing a strong all-people border defense posture, contributing to the firm protection of national sovereignty and border security.”

The activities of the Nghe An Border Guard in "eating, living, and working together" with the people have become a highlight of the National Unity Day celebration.
The image of the soldier in green uniform, close to and dedicated to the people, is increasingly imprinted in the hearts of the people in the border regions of the Fatherland, contributing to building a peaceful, stable, united, and developing border.
