What's it like to have fun on Thanh Vinh pedestrian street?
(Baonghean.vn) - In order to create a highlight in terms of recreational space for people visiting the pedestrian street, Vinh City will organize many unique and attractive cultural, artistic, and culinary activities.

Accordingly, the pedestrian street will feature cultural and entertainment activities such as: folk games, folk songs, street music, calligraphy, fashion shows, a book street, etc.
Specifically, the road at the intersection of Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Van Cu streets; and the beginning and middle of Nguyen Van Cu street will be used to organize street music performances featuring instrumental music, solos, modern songs, Zumba dancing, and ballroom dancing… performed by organizations such as the Vinh City Youth Union, the National Folk Music and Dance Troupe, and various music and dance groups.
Along Ho Tung Mau street, there will be traditional folk games such as: bamboo pole jumping, stilt walking, jump rope, O An Quan (a traditional board game), card passing, etc. At each point, there will be instructors to guide the players on how to play.

The area in front of the Provincial Cultural Center has been set up with a stage for performing Nghe Tinh folk songs and traditional musical instruments.
The sidewalk area on Ho Tung Mau Street, on the side of Chung Mountain, will feature activities such as: a mobile book street, calligraphy, portrait painting, sand painting, clay figurine making, and artistic balloon sculpting…
In addition, mobile lion and dragon dance troupes will be arranged to perform on pedestrian streets for people to enjoy and admire.

In particular, the city has the idea of creating a dedicated space to invite artisans from the Mong, Thai, Khmu, and Tho ethnic groups to perform various art forms, folk songs, folk dances, and folk music of these communities in western Nghe An; coordinating with the cultural departments of the districts to organize cultural and artistic programs to promote the unique characteristics of localities and regions in the province to a wider audience.
In addition, booths will be set up for the tourism industry to promote tours, routes, and destinations in Nghe An.
Regarding food, the sidewalks of the streets will be arranged with stalls selling soft drinks, snacks, coffee, and grilled food. Although Ho Sy Duong Street is not included in the pedestrian zone plan, the city will put up no-parking signs, upgrade the infrastructure, and reorganize businesses to serve residents and tourists who want to enjoy the specialties of Nghe An province, such as eel porridge and eel soup.

In addition, stalls showcasing Nghe An specialties such as rice crackers, peanut candy, Nam Dan soy sauce, Thanh Chuong fermented bamboo shoots, cassava starch, dried seafood, etc., will be set up along the streets to serve the shopping needs of the people.
“Cultural, artistic, and culinary activities are the ‘backbone’ of the pedestrian street’s activities. Therefore, they must be organized systematically with rich and unique program content, especially creating an open space for residents and tourists to immerse themselves in these activities and enthusiastically participate.”
Initially, to create an effect, the city intensified propaganda, calling on and mobilizing clubs, teams, groups, schools, and organizations in the area to participate in activities. Once these activities become well-established and spread, residents and tourists will naturally participate, at which point cultural and entertainment activities will be expanded, enriched, and more diverse.”
