India supplies billions of dollars worth of military equipment to Israel

On July 8, the Indian defense news network reported that at a new forum held in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv, Indian defense equipment manufacturing and supplying companies signed 12 agreements with Israeli partners, including the supply of air defense missile systems, radars, anti-ship missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), under a technology transfer initiative worth more than 4.3 billion USD.

Specifically, Kalyani Group has signed an agreement to establish a joint venture with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to produce air defense systems, radars, anti-ship missiles and command and control systems for the Indian armed forces.

It is expected that in the next 7-10 years, these two companies will produce many types of weapons, with a value of up to about 1.54 billion USD.

Meanwhile, a Bangalore-based IT company has signed a strategic partnership agreement with IAI to manufacture, assemble and support UAVs for the three services of the Indian armed forces. The agreement will be implemented under the “Make in India” initiative.

In addition, the Indian Railways and Engineering Company and Israel's Adventz Group and LeshmanLesico Group signed an agreement to implement several railway projects worth 2 billion USD, including the Greenfield railway project in the two cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem./.
