India launches 104 satellites on a single rocket, breaking Russia's record
On February 15, India successfully launched a rocket carrying 104 satellites, breaking Russia's record of 37 satellites in one launch in 2014.

The PSLV-C37 rocket carrying the satellites was launched from the launch site in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh state, southern India at 9:28 am local time.
After 28 minutes, the satellites were successfully placed into their designated orbits.
Among the 104 satellites, the most notable is India's 714kg high-resolution Earth observation satellite called Cartosat 2.
There are 101 foreign satellites, including 96 US satellites, while the remaining satellites belong to Israel, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This is the second time India has successfully put multiple satellites into orbit in a single launch.
In June 2015, the country successfully launched 23 satellites into orbit using just one rocket.
