India demands that Canada withdraw its 41 diplomats.

Relations between India and Canada have become severely strained following Canada's suspicion that Indian government agencies were involved in the June assassination attempt in Canada on Sikh separatist leader and Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who is considered a "terrorist" by India.
India has rejected these allegations, which it considers baseless.
According to Reuters, the Financial Times, citing sources familiar with India's demands, confirmed that India has threatened to revoke the diplomatic immunity of diplomats who are required to leave but remain after October 10.
Canada has 62 diplomats in India, and India has previously stated that this number should be reduced to 41.
The foreign ministries of India and Canada have not yet responded to requests for comment from the media.
Earlier, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said there was an "atmosphere of violence" and a "threatening atmosphere" for Indian diplomats in Canada, where the presence of Sikh separatist groups had frustrated New Delhi.
