UK releases identity of parliament attacker
British police said the parliament attacker was Khalid Masood, born in the southeastern town of Kent.

Khalid Masood, 52, was the perpetrator in the March 22 attack outside the Houses of Parliament in London, AFP reported, citing a statement from British police.
British police said Masood "had a number of aliases" and had lived inWest Midlands and in bothBirmingham, where armed police carried out an overnight raid.
Previously, British Prime MinisterTheresa May says parliament attackerwas on the MI5 watch list many years ago.
The terrorist was being monitored for violent extremism but played a “fringe” role. “He is not part of the current intelligence picture,” Mrs May said.
Four people were killed, including the suspect, and at least 40 were injured in the attack. Many of the victims were foreigners. British police said they had arrested eight people in connection with the incident.
