(Baonghean.vn) - Today (September 25), British Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Princess Kate made a foreign trip to Canada. The most notable highlight was the appearance of "little princess" Charlotte and her brother, "little prince" George.

At just 16 months old, Princess Charlotte's smile and tiny, wagging fingers seem to have softened the hearts of all the officials and eyes watching at the airport, as she accompanied her parents and brother on an official trip to Canada starting today (September 25).

Little Princess Charlotte and her brother Prince George became the center of attention for all Canadian politicians from the very first moment with a somewhat shy wave, when the family landed at the airport in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia.

Little Princess Charlotte, wearing a pale blue dress, was carried by her mother, Princess Kate, as she stepped off the plane. Encouraged by her mother, the princess waved her tiny arms towards the crowd, while her eyes scanned the air around her.

Meanwhile, little Prince George, now 3 years old, held hands with his father, Prince William, and carefully walked step by step on the plane's stairs, his eyes a bit "wary" before blending into the new scenery.

Both child stars were warmly welcomed by Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau, who knelt down and extended his hand to Prince George.

After a few minutes spent posing for photos, the royal family got into a waiting car and headed to British Columbia's government building, where they will stay for nine days.

While air bases have been temporarily closed to the public, major roads have been decorated with hundreds of flags to welcome the British royal family's visit.

Prince William is expected to address the Canadian public. The couple will also be welcomed by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

The Canadian government has also made careful preparations to welcome the young family of four, with the local Victoria newspaper saying it is “particularly excited” about the visit.

Etiquette experts have been invited to provide guidance on royal manners, including tips on how to say “Hello Kate” properly or how to tell a joke.

Government building staff in British Columbia have also been busy sprucing up the mansion to welcome the arrival of Prince George and little Princess Charlotte.

Electrical outlets have been covered, decorations and unsecured jewelry have been kept out of the reach of the two child stars. Snacks are always available in the room. There is also information that a play area has been designed in the villa to serve these two special guests.

Some of the highlights of the tour include a visit to the Yukon region, where the Duke and Duchess will fish, hike and meet with First Nations communities.

They will also have practical experience to help them deal with social issues such as mental health issues, dealing with refugees arising from the Syrian conflict or alcohol and drug addiction among young mothers.
