Twin brothers Le Dinh Nghia and Le Dinh Trong used police support tools, pretending to be police to catch gamblers red-handed.

On August 6, Duc Trong District Police (Lam Dong Province) said that Le Dinh Nghia and Le Dinh Trong dressed in civilian clothes went to the house of Ms. Vu Thi Yen (born in 1965, permanent resident of Dong Nai Province, temporary resident of Hiep Thanh Commune), claiming to be police officers of Hiep Thanh Station, bringing handcuffs and a record of arresting a criminal in the act to catch red-handed gambling at Ms. Yen's house.

When entering the house, Trong pulled the door shut, and Nghia shouted "Police here, everyone sit still", at the same time threw the handcuffs onto the gambling mat to show his power and asked everyone to put money on the gambling mat.

Then Nghia counted the money at the casino himself, which was 1.3 million VND. The gamblers asked for forgiveness, so after counting the money, Nghia gave all the money to Tran Xuan Hung (a gambler) and said he would forgive them all, but Hung did not take the money but gave it back to Nghia and said "let you guys drink".

Nghia took the above amount of money and did not make a record or report to the Hiep Thanh Commune Police.

According to verification by Duc Trong District Police, Trong and Nghia are not police officers but often visit Hiep Thanh Commune Police and have assisted (unofficially) Hiep Thanh Commune Police in some cases, so they are acquaintances.

Before going to arrest the gamblers, Nghia and Trong reported to the two police officers on duty, Phan Tan Duy and Nguyen Trong Hieu, but Duy and Hieu did not leave immediately but told Trong and Nghia to wait at the station.

Meanwhile, Nghia and Trong opened the drawer of the police station, took the handcuffs and the arrest report from the station's desk drawer, and went to Ms. Yen's house.
