Mr. Hoanh shared: This melon crop is the most effective of the 3 crops, we did not have time to celebrate when the Covid-19 epidemic situation became complicated, Yen Thanh district had to isolate the whole society, so the product output was difficult.
Every day through social networks, we have to ask acquaintances and local agencies to help us consume, mainly to those who need it, we ship it to them. Currently, in the garden there are still over 1.5 tons of melons in the harvest stage that are in dire need of consumption.

It is known that in normal times, melons sold to customers at the garden fluctuate between 45,000-55,000 VND/kg, depending on the type. However, in the current situation, the price has dropped to 35,000 VND/kg at the garden, with the hope that people will share and support to recover the investment capital.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Duy Liem in Tan Thanh commune (Yen Thanh)The owner of a melon garden is also sitting on fire. Mr. Liem said: This melon crop is a good one, reaching about 3 tons of melons, and will be harvested in about 10 days. Previously, we mainly consumed in Vinh City and neighboring districts, but now that the whole district is socially isolated, we cannot consume.

The entire Yen Thanh district currently has over 60 melon gardens in harvest season, mainly concentrated in the communes of Van Thanh, Xuan Thanh, Nhan Thanh... Currently, the entire district still has over 10 tons of melons, the next harvest will be in about a week, with an expected output of over 50 tons of melons.
A representative of the Yen Thanh District Farmers' Association shared: Currently, the Yen Thanh District Farmers' Association is connecting with sources to sell melons to farmers, but due to the epidemic, it is very difficult. The Farmers' Association is actively introducing products on social networking sites to help people. However, "rescuing" melons is currently very difficult, because many localities are implementing quarantine to prevent and control the epidemic, this is a high-end product that often has a high price, while many low-income people do not have the conditions to buy...
