He called for restarting Nord Stream.
Politicians in Britain have called for restarting the Nord Stream gas pipeline and buying cheap gas from Russia.

According to RIA Novosti on January 13, David Curten, leader of the British Heritage Party, called on social media platform X to restart the remaining branches of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline and once again buy gas from Russia.
Curten wrote: “One of the four Nord Stream pipelines is undamaged and it can be restarted very quickly. Let’s buy back good gas from our friends in Russia.”
The explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 export pipelines occurred on September 26, 2022. According to Nord Stream AG, this accident was unprecedented and the repair timeframe is unpredictable. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has initiated a criminal case related to international terrorism. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Moscow has repeatedly requested data on the emergency situation but has never received it.
According to American journalist Seymour Hersh, American divers planted explosives under a gas pipeline during NATO's Baltops 2022 exercise, and three months later, the Norwegians detonated them.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that restarting the remaining section of Nord Stream 2 could take place within a week, if Germany is willing. However, the Russian leader suggested that Berlin has shown little interest in resuming the energy partnership.
Earlier, on January 12, German Chancellor candidate Alice Weidel pledged to restart the Nord Stream gas pipeline if she wins the parliamentary election on February 23.
