| Many areas of rice paddies that lack reliable water sources for the spring crop will be converted to corn cultivation. |
Accordingly, the converted area mainly consists of land previously used for single-crop rice production being converted to hybrid corn, legumes, and sugarcane... These converted areas are concentrated in high-lying regions with limited irrigation and low rice production efficiency, such as in the communes of Tao Son (20 ha), Cao Son (20 ha), Tuong Son (25 ha), Thanh Son (20 ha), and Binh Son (18 ha)...
The district's agricultural sector also encourages farmers to practice crop rotation and intercropping with high-economic-value crops.
