Anh Son: Mobilizing 240,000 man-days for irrigation work.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 6th, Anh Son district organized a ceremony to launch the 2015 nationwide irrigation campaign. Attending the event were representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial Irrigation Sub-Department, leaders of Anh Son district, and local people and students from Vinh Son commune.

This year, Anh Son district is focusing on irrigation projects such as repairing damaged structures, dredging canals, and building embankments to improve the efficiency of the 2015 winter crop and the national New Rural Development program in the district. According to the plan, the entire district will mobilize 240,000 man-days of labor for irrigation work, with a total volume of excavation and embankment of 260,000 m³, including 32,000 m³ of dredging, 22,000 m³ of canal and embankment repair, and 204,000 m³ of embankment construction. The implementation period is from October 6th to November 31st.

People in Vinh Son commune mobilize to build irrigation systems.

Following the launching ceremony, the staff and workers of Anh Son Irrigation Company Limited, along with all the people of the 9 villages in Vinh Son commune, began implementing the project on the ground. The remaining localities in the district will also organize ceremonies to build irrigation and transportation infrastructure, striving for the highest possible efficiency.
