With tea production peaking for the Lunar New Year, the artisanal tea processing facility of Mr. Nguyen Canh Tuan in Hamlet 4, Hung Son Commune, is busier than usual. Mr. Tuan shared: "To make delicious tea, the first thing is that the tea leaves must meet the 'one bud, two leaves' quality standard. In addition, the tea must be hand-picked to avoid crushing or mixing in substandard tea."

The tea leaves in Hung Son are harvested entirely by hand.

After briefly introducing the harvesting process, Mr. Tuan added: the harvested tea leaves are immediately brought back for processing. The roasting and processing also require specific techniques to ensure the tea retains its delicious and rich flavor. According to Mr. Tuan, to meet the demand for Tet (Lunar New Year), his family's artisanal tea processing facility will produce nearly 1 ton of dried tea.

The tea is processed at the appropriate temperature to achieve its characteristic aroma and delicious flavor.

At the tea processing facility of Mr. Vo Van Sang's family in Hamlet 5, Hung Son Commune, the tea production process is equally bustling. Mr. Sang said: Recently, he invested nearly 400 million VND in machinery and also traveled to Thai Nguyen to learn how to process high-quality tea. He anticipates producing 1.5 tons of high-quality tea for consumers during the upcoming Tet holiday.

According to Mr. Sang, this is the peak season of the year, and although it's hard work, the quality doesn't suffer. He believes that to establish and maintain the brand of high-quality handcrafted tea, the products must not only be fragrant and delicious but also meet hygiene and safety standards.

With many secrets from harvesting to processing, Hung Son high-quality green tea will be a product sought after by consumers.

Mr. Hoang Dinh My, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Son commune, said: Hung Son is a commune with a large area of ​​tea cultivation, thus creating an abundant source of clean tea raw materials. The people also have many years of experience in tea cultivation, so developing artisanal tea processing facilities in the area is a promising new direction to help tea growers increase their income and contribute to building a unique brand for the Hung Son tea production region. During this year's Lunar New Year, it is estimated that the entire commune will produce about 2.5 to 3 tons of high-quality tea, in addition to tens of tons of industrial tea. Tet is also a time when prices of goods increase, so green tea products will certainly be a significant source of income for the tea growers of Hung Son.
