Mr. Son is focusing on overcoming the consequences of the floods following Typhoon No. 4.

The heavy rains and floods in recent days have caused severe damage to the people in Anh Son district.

As of 4 PM on August 19th, Anh Son district had 579 houses flooded and requiring evacuation, 31 houses affected by landslides, 3 schools flooded (Binh Son Kindergarten, Hoi Son Primary School and Town School); and 45 bridges and culverts swept away.

675.5 hectares of summer-autumn rice, over 300 hectares of corn and other crops were flooded, and over 515 hectares of sugarcane were also submerged. The floods caused over 125 hectares of fish ponds to overflow and erode... The total estimated property damage is over 82 billion VND.

Currently, 16 villages are isolated, including 8 completely isolated villages in the three communes of Binh Son, Thanh Son, and Long Son. Roads in the communes of Tam Son, Thanh Son, Binh Son, Tho Son, Hung Son, and Duc Son are cut off; it is impossible to travel to these areas from the district center.

To help people focus on overcoming the consequences of storms and floods and stabilizing their lives as soon as possible, Anh Son district directed relevant departments and localities to implement many timely solutions to support people in flood-affected areas, such as repairing houses, clearing drainage systems, and stabilizing agricultural production.

Schools are urgently cleaning, sanitizing, and replenishing facilities in time for the new school year; the health sector is guiding the public in environmental hygiene, disinfection, disease prevention, and post-flood healthcare.
