Anh Son has a large amount of land remaining unsold for auction.

(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, the land market in Anh Son district has faced difficulties, and there are still quite a few unsold land plots remaining.

For example, in Hung Son commune, land plots have been difficult to sell for a long time. Mr. Hoang Dinh My, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Son commune, said that since 2010, the commune has planned to auction off 50 land plots near the Hung Son commune stadium, but to date, 10 plots remain unsold.

The reason is that the planning and design process resulted in small plots of land, only 7 meters wide and 24 meters long, while the residents here are accustomed to living on spacious land.

To resolve the issue of 10 unsold land plots, Hung Son commune is appealing to its children who have left their hometown to work elsewhere and are financially stable to return and buy land at a low price of 55-60 million VND per plot; however, they have still been unable to sell them.

Several communes still have unsold land, such as Hoi Son, Hoa Son, and Vinh Son. Particularly noteworthy is the Cam Son urban area, developed by Song Lam Sugar Company, covering 2.1 hectares in Cam Thang village, Cam Son commune, along National Highway 7. It includes 105 residential plots; although the infrastructure was fully developed and sales began in April 2017, less than 50% of the planned plots have been sold to date.

Mr. Dang Duy Do, Deputy Head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Anh Son district, said: From 2015 to 2016, Anh Son district auctioned off over 80 land plots, but to date, 42 plots remain unsold.

In 2017, the province set a target of selling 15 billion VND worth of land in Anh Son, but this seems difficult to achieve because currently, "profitable" land in Anh Son is limited, and the demand for residential land among the people is not high.
