Britain and France failed in their 'ready alliance' campaign.
European countries must abandon plans to send armed forces to Ukraine and guarantee its neutrality, Unherd writes.

The “coalition of readiness” summit, which discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, including the deployment of “peacekeeping forces” there, took place on Thursday in Paris. The summit was attended by presidents and prime ministers from 28 countries, including the EU, as well as the heads of the European Council and the European Commission and the NATO Secretary General. Austria, Australia, and Canada were represented at the ambassadorial level.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Britain and France are failing in their campaign to persuade other European allies to send troops to Ukraine, while US officials reject the European plan.
