Apple will change 'general': Who is chosen to replace Tim Cook?

Apple appears to have found a successor to Tim Cook as CEO - the man expected to lead the tech giant into a new era after more than a decade of steady growth and innovation.

CEO Tim Cook, who has been with Apple for more than a decade and turned the company into a symbol of sophistication in consumer technology, is reportedly preparing to leave his post. In the Power On newsletter, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman revealed that Cook’s “obvious successor” has almost been identified.

The man chosen to continue Tim Cook's legacy

According to Gurman, Apple's Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering - John Ternus is the most promising candidate for the CEO position. He was the one who stood on stage to introduce the company's latest flagship model this year, the iPhone Air.

This decision, according to Gurman, received strong support from Apple's marketing team, who believed that Ternus could both maintain the brand image and bring a new breeze to the "Apple".

An ideal successor

John Ternus is no stranger to the public eye. He is known for his friendly, humble, and calm demeanor, qualities that have led many inside Apple to believe he is the “chosen one.”

Furthermore, Ternus’ strong technical background allows him to understand the products in depth, rather than just being a spokesperson. He doesn’t just demonstrate Apple devices on stage, but actually understands how they work and displays a genuine passion for technology.

Ternus is around the same age as Cook when he took over as CEO, Gurman said. In recent years, Ternus has become increasingly visible in public, from interviews to product launch events to Apple Store visits on release days. That presence suggests he is being positioned as the official face of Apple's succession.

No one is more suitable than John Ternus

While many have suggested that Vice President of Software Craig Federighi is also a strong choice, Gurman and analysts say Ternus' age and technical experience make him the more suitable option.

Tim Cook will always be an integral part of Apple's history - the man who maintained Steve Jobs' legacy and turned Apple into a trillion-dollar company. However, a new era is approaching, and John Ternus seems to be the name with enough courage to open the next chapter in Apple's development journey./.
