The 2026 ASEAN Cup (AFF Cup) has officially been set to take place from July 24 to August 26, 2026, right after the World Cup finals. This edition also marks the 30th anniversary of the first edition in 1996, and the tournament is still being maintained amid rumors that it could be "erased" due to the appearance of the FIFA ASEAN Cup. Vietnam is currently the defending champion after defeating Thailand in the final of the 2024 ASEAN Cup with a total score of 5-3.
Asean Cup 2026 schedule after World Cup finals
According to official information, the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 will start on July 24 and end on August 26, 2026. The official draw will take place next year, at the same time as the play-off round in June.

The AFF Championship will continue to be held despite rumours that it will be affected by the FIFA ASEAN Cup. 2026 will also mark 30 years since the first AFF Cup was held in Singapore in 1996, thereby emphasizing the continuity and legacy of the regional playground.
