The Asian Olympic Council (AOC) announced in a press release on August 24 that Turkmenistani wrestler Nazarov Rustem had violated anti-doping regulations.
Accordingly, a urine sample taken from Rustem on August 17th, before the competition, contained the banned substance furosemide.
All of Rustem's results at the Asian Games have been erased. The wrestler lost in the round of 16 in the 57 kg freestyle wrestling category.
At the Games four years ago in Incheon, the AOC's medical committee detected five doping positive cases. All of these athletes were immediately sent home. Among them, the famous South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan was even stripped of his medal.
