The Asian Olympic Council (AOC) announced that Turkmen wrestler Nazarov Rustem had violated anti-doping regulations in a press release on August 24.
Accordingly, the urine sample taken from Rustem on August 17, before the competition, contained the banned substance furosemide.
All of Rustem's results at the Asian Games were voided. The wrestler lost in the round of 16 of the 57 kg weight class, freestyle wrestling.
At the Incheon Games four years ago, the AOC Medical Committee found five positive doping cases. All of these athletes were immediately sent home. Among them, famous Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan was stripped of his medal.
