Audi Q2 priced at 1.5 billion VND in Vietnam.

The Audi Q2 compact SUV is priced from 1.5 billion VND, competing in the same segment as the MINI Countryman, BMW X1, and Mercedes GLA.

The Audi Q2 was launched in Vietnam last October, at the same time as in the German market. The introduction of this compact SUV is part of a strategy to rejuvenate the product range, similar to the direction taken by its two direct competitors, Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

The Audi Q2 has started selling in Vietnam with a price starting from 1.5 billion VND.

The Audi Q2 boasts an angular, somewhat boxy exterior, catching up with the new design language of its "big brother," the Q7. The design inspiration for the Audi Q2 is polygonal shapes, evident in the headlights, grille, taillights, and mirrors. The car has received numerous prestigious design awards.

The Audi Q2 is 4.19 meters long, has a ground clearance of nearly 15 cm, and weighs 1,280 kg. Its drag coefficient is a mere 0.30 Cd. Integrated exterior technology includes LED headlights and taillights, power-folding/adjustable mirrors, and a power tailgate. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 405 liters and expands to 1,050 liters when the second row of seats is folded down. Customers can choose from 12 exterior colors and 11 wheel designs.

Inside, everything is neatly arranged and angular. At the center is the signature MMI infotainment screen, controlled via buttons and a rotary dial located near the gear shift. The car has a dual-zone automatic climate control system, combined with unique air vents designed like aircraft turbines.

The Audi Q2 features a similar instrument cluster and steering wheel to the Audi TT sports coupe. The steering wheel integrates quick-access controls and a speed limiter/cruise control lever. The instrument cluster is a large screen displaying a lot of information simultaneously, instead of the usual analog display; this technology is called "Virtual Cockpit".

In terms of performance, the Audi Q2 is equipped with a 1.4 TFSI engine, delivering 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 212 km/h. The car uses a 7-speed S Tronic transmission and comes with standard front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.

In Vietnam, the Audi Q2 is priced at 1.5 billion VND. The company identifies the MINI Countryman, BMW X1, and Mercedes GLA as its main competitors. Currently, 90% of the first batch of Audi Q2s imported to Vietnam have already been sold.
