Audi Q2 priced at 1.5 billion VND in Vietnam

The compact SUV Audi Q2 has a price starting from 1.5 billion VND, in the same segment as MINI Countryman, BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA.

Audi Q2 was launched in Vietnam in October last year, at the same time as the German market. The birth of the compact SUV model is part of the product line rejuvenation strategy, similar to the direction of two direct competitors Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

Audi Q2 starts selling in Vietnam with prices starting from 1.5 billion VND.

The Q2's appearance is angular and slightly square, keeping up with the new design language of its "senior" Q7. The design inspiration for the Audi Q2 is polygonal blocks, which can be seen through the headlights, grille, taillights and mirrors. The car has received many prestigious design awards.

The Audi Q2 is 4.19 m long, has a ground clearance of nearly 15 cm, and weighs 1,280 kg. The drag coefficient of the Audi Q2 is only 0.30Cd. Integrated exterior technology includes LED headlights and taillights, electric folding/adjusting mirrors, and an electric tailgate. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 405 liters and can be expanded to 1,050 liters when the second row of seats is folded. Customers can choose from 12 exterior colors and 11 wheel designs.

Inside, everything is neatly arranged and angular. In the center is the typical MMI entertainment screen, controlled by buttons and a rotary knob right in the gear lever area. The car has 2-zone automatic air conditioning, combined with unique air vents with a design like an airplane turbine.

The Audi Q2 has a similar instrument cluster and steering wheel to the Audi TT sports coupe. The steering wheel integrates quick adjustment buttons and a speed limiter/cruise control lever. The instrument cluster is a large screen, displaying a lot of information at the same time instead of the usual analog type, a technology called "Virtual Cockpit".

In terms of performance, the Audi Q2 is equipped with a 1.4 TFSI engine, delivering 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 212 km/h. The car uses a 7-speed S Tronic gearbox, with standard front-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive.

In Vietnam, the Audi Q2 is priced at 1.5 billion VND. The company identifies the MINI Countryman, BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA as its main competitors. Currently, 90% of the first batch of Audi Q2s arriving in Vietnam have found customers.
