"On the morning of February 7, an air strike alert was issued for the whole of Ukraine. This is repeated periodically and more often. These are large-scale attacks. Most of the missiles were flying in a western direction, that is, towards Poland. Although they were directed towards targets on Ukrainian territory, this morning all security systems in Poland were also prepared in a state of readiness," said Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh.

Minister Kosinyak-Kamysh explained the Polish activation mechanism as follows: F-16 fighters appeared in the sky, and air defense and missile defense systems were put on alert.

The operational command of the Polish Armed Forces on Platform X announced that, "intense activity of Russian long-range weapons was observed, it is related to missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine".

On the morning of February 7, an airstrike alert was issued across Ukraine. Local authorities and media reported explosions and fires in the Kiev, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkassy regions.

Ukrainian officials say Russia has launched multiple missile strikes in the past few hours against Kiev and other cities. Air defense alert has been activated across Ukraine after the country's military detected at least nine Russian Tu-95MS strategic bombers taking off.
