Poland will hand over 3-9 missiles for the Patriot system to Ukraine.
Poland has officially confirmed the supply of missiles to Ukraine for its air defense system as part of its Spring 2026 aid package. This move comes with a commitment from the US to provide ten times the amount in military reparations to ensure security.

According to the TASS news agency. On July 13th, 2026, the Polish government decided to supply strategic air defense equipment to Kyiv. Specifically, the number of Patriot missiles to be delivered to Ukraine will range from 3 to 9. This move is part of a collective military aid package, coordinated by several NATO countries. This information was officially announced by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, Cezary Tomczyk, in an interview on RMF FM radio.
According to the Polish Deputy Minister of Defense, in exchange for sharing the air defense network, Warsaw reached a strategic security agreement with Washington. Specifically, the US committed to compensating the Polish military with ten times the amount of missiles should the country face any threats. The national security gap caused by arms aid has been thoroughly addressed through this compensation mechanism.
The public disclosure of details regarding military aid shipments is not a natural move from the current government. Previously, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz was forced to issue a directive to declassify documents related to the process of providing weapons to its neighbor. The main reason stemmed from increasing pressure and internal political conflicts.
A group of opposition politicians, along with several representatives from President Karol Nawrocki's administration, have accused the cabinet. They sharply criticized the decision to quietly transfer expensive interceptor weapon systems to Ukraine amidst a complex geopolitical situation.
The Polish Ministry of Defence's public disclosure of the matter aims to quell public skepticism. This move also affirms that arms sharing is always accompanied by robust safeguards from major Western allies.
