Three car models honored as the most beautiful in 2018 by Red Dot Award
The 2018 Red Dot Design Award named the Ferrari Portofino, McLaren 720S and Kia Stinger for the highest honor in the automotive field.
First appearing in 1950, the Red Dot Award is now considered one of the most prestigious and prestigious design awards in the world. The Red Dot Award evaluates the design of products in many different fields, including automobiles.
This year, the list of awards has been announced by the Organizing Committee. Surpassing many other strong candidates, the top 3 positions belong to Ferrari Portofino, McLaren 720S and Kia Stinger.

All three models were honored with the top design award, “Best of the Best”. Kia also won Red Dot awards for the Picanto and Stonic, while Ferrari also won similar awards for the 812 Superfast and FXX K Evo.
BMW was also recognized for its design for the 6-Series GT, X2 and i3, Hyundai impressed with the Kona and Nexo FCEV, and Volkswagen was also named for the T-Roc and Polo. And that's not all, the Red Dot also continued to honor other names such as Skoda Karoq, Seat Arona, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Nissan Leaf and Volvo XC40.

The 2018 awards marked a huge achievement for Kia. Not only did it win two Red Dot awards, but Kia’s Stinger sports sedan was also recognized for its design that rivals luxury supercars.
With the two awards that Hyundai received, it can be said that car brands from Korea are gradually rising in the design field with many models possessing impressive appearances.

While Ferrari is having success with its compact cars, with its holding of a series of car brands, the "giant" Volkswagen has also brought home 4 awards at the same time.
This year's awards also lacked the presence of many other famous car brands such as Toyota, Honda, Mercedes-Benz and General Motors.
