Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang was proposed to be investigated for additional crimes.

After a period of studying the case file, considering that there are still many points in need of further investigation, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court decided to return the case file "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the rights and legitimate interests of organizations and individuals", committed by Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang and her accomplices.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City People's Court proposed to investigate 3 additional contents including:

Regarding the compensation claims of some individuals in the case, because the records do not show sufficient evidence, the court requires the investigation agency to supplement. If the case does not supplement, the court will handle it according to regulations.

Although the 10 victims did not accuse Mr. Huynh Uy Dung in their complaints, Mr. Huynh Uy Dung appeared in Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang's livestreams. However, the Investigation Police Agency and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy have not yet clarified whether or not Mr. Huynh Uy Dung was an accomplice in the case.

According to the court, in addition to the crime of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals" that the People's Procuracy prosecuted against Ms. Hang and her accomplices, based on the complaint of Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien and Ms. Dang Thi Han Ni, there was also content accusing Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang of fabricating and providing false information, infringing upon the honor, reputation and dignity of individuals.

Therefore, according to the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City, whether the actions of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang and her accomplices show signs of the crime of "Humiliating others" or "Slander" or not, also needs to be clarified by the Investigation Police Agency and the People's Procuracy of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the accusation of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy, from March 2021 to March 2022, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang used social networking platforms such as: Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok... to conduct livestream sessions.

Ms. Hang spoke directly about personal privacy and content that affected the reputation and honor of 10 people, including: artist Hoai Linh, singer Vy Oanh, Ms. Dang Thi Han Ni, singer Dam Vinh Hung, singer Thuy Tien and her husband Le Cong Vinh, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien and Ms. Dinh Thi Lan, Le Thi Giau, and Truong Viet Ha.

During the investigation, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang stated that she had found information related to the private lives of the above individuals from unknown sources on the internet, from reading newspapers, and... from dreaming. Ms. Hang also admitted that this information had not been verified and had no valid basis.

During the investigation expansion, Ho Chi Minh City Police prosecuted Dr. of Law - lecturer Dang Anh Quan and 3 people: Nguyen Thi Mai Nhi (40 years old, assistant to Ms. Hang), Le Thi Thu Ha (aka Ha Lee, 31 years old, employee) and Huynh Cong Tan (29 years old, Head of Communications Department of Dai Nam Joint Stock Company).

Although there was no conflict with the above individuals, because they were employees and received salaries from defendant Nguyen Phuong Hang, defendants Nhi, Ha, and Tan actively assisted defendant Hang in committing the crime.

Regarding defendant Dang Anh Quan (PhD in Law - lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law), in 11 livestream sessions (from October 9, 2021 to March 22, 2022), Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang made offensive statements to individuals, all of which had the participation of this man.
