Three female thieves used a saw blade wrapped in tape to steal donation money.
(Baonghean.vn) - Hong and Yen stood guard outside while Huong sneaked into the church and used a saw blade wrapped in double-sided tape to steal money from the donation box.
On the morning of January 29th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghi Loc District Police announced that they are currently holding three individuals in custody: Nguyen Thi Hong (born in 1979), Ho Xuan Huong (born in 1990), both residing in Tan Phu commune, Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province, and Vuong Thi Yen (born in 1957), residing in Thoi Tam Thon commune, Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City, for investigation into the theft of property.

On the morning of January 27th, residents of Trang Canh parish, Nghi Xuan commune, discovered and apprehended a woman named Ho Xuan Huong while she was stealing money from the donation box in the parish church. Two other women, Nguyen Thi Hong and Vuong Thi Yen, were standing outside as lookouts. The seized items included 1,413,200 VND and two metal saw blades wrapped in double-sided tape. The three suspects and the seized items were handed over to the Nghi Loc District Police for processing.

During a search of the three female suspects' rented room at Phu Quy guesthouse, Thanh Phu hamlet, Thach Trung commune, Ha Tinh city (Ha Tinh province), the task force seized an additional 2,340,500 VND, one hacksaw blade, two rolls of thread, one bag containing worm rings, and five rolls of double-sided tape.
During questioning at the police station, the suspects Hong, Huong, and Yen confessed to regularly targeting places of worship with donation boxes to steal money.
The incident is still under investigation by the authorities.
