(Baonghean.vn) - At the annual press conference of the National People's Congress, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed that China is fully confident in its relationship with Russia, unaffected by external factors. He also expressed a desire to strengthen long-term strategic cooperation with Russia on international issues.

He emphasized that the bilateral relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of time and is currently at its best point in its history.

Minister Wang Yi affirmed that China considers Russia its most reliable and important strategic partner. In the context of the rapidly evolving and complex global situation, China will cooperate with Russia to address challenges; comprehensively strengthen cooperation in politics, economics, and culture; promote cooperation on international issues; elevate the Sino-Russian strategic partnership to a new level; safeguard the common interests of both countries; and contribute to consolidating peace and stability in the region and the world.

The head of China's Foreign Ministry also added that in 2017, senior leaders from Russia and China would hold numerous personal talks aimed at elevating the relationship to a new level and building political trust.

Wang Yi mentioned that China strongly supports the creation of a "triad" alliance between China, Russia, and the United States. "The three countries need to cooperate closely with each other, instead of acting against each other," Wang Yi said. In particular, the economies of the three countries are facing new development opportunities, so trilateral cooperation will contribute to the strong and rapid development of the global economy.
