(Baonghean.vn) - Master - Doctor Tran Quoc Khanh (34 years old) from Thanh Duc commune, Thanh Chuong district is known as a compassionate doctor at Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi. Recently, he voluntarily registered to donate tissues and organs to help people with serious illnesses.

Talking to Dr. Khanh after working hours at the hospital, he said: "As a doctor, I have witnessed and understood the pain of patients with serious illnesses. Many of them always want to prolong their lives by organ transplantation; but currently the source of organs is too scarce. Therefore, to share with patients, I voluntarily registered to donate tissues and organs after death, without any conditions."

With the concept of "living is to give", "giving while you still can", registering to donate organs when brain dead to help people with serious illnesses is one of the noble gestures of Master - Doctor Tran Quoc Khanh towards poor patients in particular and public health in general.

Doctor Khanh was born and raised in Suong hamlet, Thanh Duc commune, Thanh Chuong district, then returned to his paternal hometown in Loc Ha (Ha Tinh) to study. His entire school and university years were an effort to overcome poverty.

He was awarded the title of National Excellent Student in Biology and was admitted directly to Hanoi Medical University. After graduating, he continued to study for 3 years as a resident physician. In 2008, Master - Doctor Tran Quoc Khanh was transferred to the Department of Spinal Surgery, Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi, where he has worked until now.

With a solid knowledge base and enthusiasm for his work, he is not only a surgeon who always completes his professional tasks well, is trusted and admired by his colleagues, but also a compassionate physician. Over the years, he has called on businesses to organize free medical examinations and treatments, given gifts to the poor in the Northern and Central provinces, and participated in the "rural book" program...

He also enthusiastically participates in health consulting programs on VOV, actively writes articles for newspapers and specialized magazines to provide knowledge about prevention, treatment, and examination of cancer diseases... With a concise and easy-to-understand writing style, he often shares articles on his personal Facebook page to spread in the community, participates in free talks about health and nutrition at some companies, factories, and agencies around Hanoi...

In particular, recently, he has also been doing livestreams to share knowledge about nutrition, bones and joints - spine, and answer patients' questions on his personal Facebook every Wednesday night. This program is receiving attention and support from the online community with tens of thousands of followers. This is also the program that he is most passionate about, hoping to "make people know more about common health knowledge".

He shared: "Bringing health knowledge to everyone, every family, is not only a passion but also a concern and responsibility of myself, along with other doctors, to contribute to raising awareness of health prevention for people and the community."

In the hospital as well as in real life, Dr. Tran Quoc Khanh always leaves an impression of sincerity and openness. Behind that radiant smile are the worries and concerns of a dedicated doctor. It seems that the image of the poor countryside of Nghe An in his childhood, including his family, always reminds the young doctor to make constant efforts on his journey to cure and save people, especially towards the poor.

Talking about his decision to register to donate his organs and tissues, he confided simply: "While I am alive, I will try my best for the health of the community. When I leave this world, I would like to donate a part of my body to help people with serious illnesses prolong their lives."./.
