In the digital age, hostile forces have been taking full advantage of the Internet and social networks to distort the Party's ideological foundation. As a force proficient in and quick to access technology, union members and youth in Nghe An province have actively and proactively participated in activities to prevent and combat bad and toxic information; and the violation of the Party's ideological foundation by hostile forces in cyberspace.

In recent times, Nghe An youth have made many outstanding contributions to the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, especially in cyberspace. With sharp articles, tight arguments, and a high sense of responsibility, union members and young people not only proactively spread positive information, but also persistently fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
Notable among them is Major Le Duc Tho - Assistant to Mass Affairs, Political Department - Nghe An Provincial Military Command. He is known as a sharp writer who regularly has meaningful news, articles, images, and videos to spread political events, good people, and good deeds in the community. At the same time, he is a sharp "theorist" in the fight against distorted arguments against the Party, State, and army. With his efforts on the ideological front, Major Le Duc Tho was awarded 2 Certificates of Merit by the Political Commissar of Nghe An Provincial Military Command for his outstanding achievements in 5 years of implementing the Army project to prevent and combat "peaceful evolution" in the field of ideology and culture in the new situation and effectively implementing Directive No. 47/CT-CT dated January 8, 2016 of the General Department of Politics in Nghe An Provincial Military on organizing forces to fight against erroneous, hostile views and political opportunism in cyberspace in the Vietnam People's Army.

In addition to actively implementing articles and propaganda to fight against the distorted and destructive arguments of hostile forces, many young people in the province have also implemented a series of practical projects and tasks, spreading the spirit of protecting the Party's ideological foundation through concrete, creative and meaningful actions. For example, comrade Nguyen Ho Manh - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just successfully built a website to contribute comments to the Party Congress documents at all levels, term 2025 - 2030. This project will be applied by the Provincial Party Committee from May 2025 with many practical meanings to create conditions for all classes of people to directly participate in the process of building the Party's political line. Creating a systematic online feedback channel will help the Party promptly grasp the people's thoughts and aspirations, thereby making appropriate policy adjustments, contributing to building an increasingly strong Party, meeting the country's development requirements in the new period.
Or like Nguyen Thanh Loc - Class 62B1, Faculty of Economic Law and President of the Student Union of Vinh University is also a core pioneer on the ideological front of the school. Having a firm grasp of legal knowledge, regularly updated with new policies and guidelines of the Party and State, he is also assigned the responsibility of managing and operating the Fanpage and Website of the Student Union and Youth Union of Vinh University, in addition to regularly selecting and posting positive information with orientation in many forms (graphics, photos, video clips, Infographics) to attract students to follow and interact. Loc also posts and shares articles refuting bad and toxic information from official sources. Thereby, equipping knowledge and skills to help students distinguish right from wrong; standing firm against distorted information from hostile forces.

One of the strengths of Nghe An youth is the large, elite force with strong political will from the Nghe An police youth. This is the core, pioneering force protecting the Party's ideological foundation; fighting against erroneous and hostile views in recent times. Through movements such as "Each cadre and soldier is a sharp pen protecting the Party"; the model "I am a propagandist"; "Youth shock troops propagating the law" ... many members of the Provincial Police Youth Union have participated in writing articles, commenting, and directly fighting against erroneous and hostile views on cyberspace.
Captain Ho Ba Tri - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Internal Political Security Department (Youth Committee of the Provincial Police) has published many news stories and articles refuting the distorted arguments and false information aimed at promoting color revolution among youth, teenagers and students by hostile forces in cyberspace. Such as issues related to "democracy, human rights" or the trend of following internet idols (idol on social networks). Captain Ho Ba Tri's articles were published in mainstream newspapers, spread and shared widely on the social networking sites of the Youth Union, thereby providing accurate information, orienting public opinion; arousing the awareness and responsibility of young people in preserving national identity, protecting the homeland and country against the plots of hostile forces in the digital age.

Not only a political writer, Captain Ho Ba Tri is also an active member of the Young Theory Club of the Provincial Youth Union. In 2024, he excellently won the second prize in the Provincial Competition for Excellent Reporters and Propagandists in 2024 with a presentation and debate related to promoting the role of union members and young people in preventing and combating fake news and untrue news on cyberspace. He was also honored by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union as an outstanding young party member in 2025.
Many other members of the Provincial Police Youth Union are the core pioneers who have participated and won many high prizes in competitions to protect the Party's ideological foundation at all levels. Typically, in 2024, Captain Vo Thi Huyen Thuong (born in 1988) - Internal Political Security Department excellently won the A prize with the work“Preventing illegal Protestant preaching activities in Nghe An border area" at the Contest "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the People's Public Security".
Captain Vo Thi Huyen Thuong said that she used to be a reporter for Nghe An Police Newspaper, and had experience, but protecting the Party's ideological foundation was still a difficult and new field for her. Therefore, in addition to spending time approaching the grassroots, staying close to the area to learn about the reality and collect information; she accepted comments, advice, and directions from her superiors to approach the problem comprehensively. From there, she carried out news stories to prevent and combat bad and toxic information, protecting the Party's ideological foundation with depth and influence.

In addition to propaganda work, the Youth Union and Youth of the Provincial Police are also the main force in detecting and removing many websites, Fanpages, Facebook accounts, YouTube channels... with bad and toxic content. With their sharpness and expertise, this force has regularly monitored and closely followed the changes in the country's political, economic and social life, "hot" events that are of interest to the masses, thereby promptly detecting, combating and handling accounts that distort the policies of the Party and State, exaggerating incidents arising at the grassroots level, complicating political security, order, and social safety, negatively affecting the ideology and trust of a part of the masses in the Party's guidelines, including the young generation.

A typical example is recently, when the Party and State carried out the work of streamlining and streamlining the organizational apparatus. Some opportunists have cut and pasted images and posted articles with distorted and incorrect arguments to defame and discredit the leaders of the Party and State; inciting and dividing the great national unity bloc. At the same time, on social networking platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, TikTok, there has also been a lot of information and articles "putting the cart before the horse", without verification related to the merger content.
Grasping the situation, in December 2024, the Internal Political Security Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) administratively sanctioned 2 cases of posting false information about the arrangement and merger of provinces and cities across the country, namely Mr. LVT (born in 1988, residing in Vinh City, working as a reporter) and Mr. NVM (born in 1988, residing in Tan Ky Town, working as a freelancer). Both admitted that although the information was not verified, they posted it on their personal Facebook with the aim of increasing interactions. Notably, NVM's Facebook account is a blue-ticked account with more than 80,000 followers.

Then, in March 2025, the Internal Political Security Department discovered that the Facebook account “MI Xue Hung Nguyen” posted a false article about “The National Assembly agreed to… merge 63 provinces and cities into 31 provinces and cities”. After verification, the owner of the above Facebook account was Mr. NVK (44 years old, residing in Hung Nguyen district). The Internal Political Security Department summoned Mr. K. to work and issued a decision to administratively fine him for “Providing and sharing fabricated information, causing confusion among the people” with a fine of 5 million VND.
In addition, some subjects who created fake accounts of agencies, organizations and individuals; edited images of Party and State leaders and high-ranking officials in the political system with "shocking" statements to mislead public opinion; and posted ambiguous and false information online were also detected and strictly handled by the cyber security shock force.

Typically, on March 25, 2025, Mr. HTB (41 years old, residing in Vinh city), owner of the TikTok account "PTC", was administratively fined 7.5 million VND by the authorities for providing and sharing fake information, false information, distorting, slandering, and insulting the reputation of agencies, organizations, and the honor and dignity of individuals. Previously, the Internal Political Security Department (Nghe An Police) discovered that Mr. HTB's TikTok account "PTC" posted fake information images that were said to be the speech of National Assembly delegate Truong Trong Nghia, National Assembly Delegation of Ho Chi Minh City. The content mentioned the injustice in salary payment for different professions. After being posted, this article attracted more than 11,100 likes and nearly 4,000 comments. The police force determined that this was a fake, untrue act that affected and offended the image, honor, and reputation of the individual National Assembly delegate, creating conflicting and complicated public opinions, and causing insecurity. After being invited to work, Mr. HTB confessed that he had taken the image of National Assembly delegate Truong Trong Nghia at the National Assembly Hall, then edited the content himself and inserted it to make readers believe that this was a statement of this delegate and posted it on social networks, in order to create a forum and debate on social networks to increase interaction for his personal account.
The information on the penalties was then transferred by the Youth Union and Youth Union of the Provincial Police into news and articles that were promptly posted on official information channels to guide public opinion. Thereby, it is recommended that people be vigilant; do not spread bad, toxic, unverified information on cyberspace. At the same time, it is recommended that people, especially young people, have knowledge and responsibility when interacting on social networks; be alert and courageous so as not to be lured, provoked, or led by negative information that goes against the interests of the nation and people; and harm the ideological foundation of the Party.
