Medication
First, give the intoxicated person enough water to drink, at least as much as the amount of alcohol consumed, to dilute the alcohol concentration in the body and help speed up the elimination of alcohol. Then, depending on the specific circumstances, one of the following remedies may be used:
Lesson 1: Take one fresh lemon, squeeze out the juice and drink it, or slice it thinly and eat the whole fruit; the better.
Lesson 2: Wash 100-200g of dong leaves (used for wrapping banh chung) thoroughly, crush them, and squeeze out the juice to drink.
Recipe 3: 30g of dried tangerine peel (the older the better), roasted until fragrant and then crushed; 2 sour plums (pitted and chopped). Simmer both ingredients over low heat with 360ml of water for 30 minutes, then strain and drink the liquid. Adding a little fresh ginger juice or tea would be even better.
Lesson 4: Take 60g of orange peel, wash it thoroughly, dry it, grind it into powder, and take 6g with warm water. If it is not effective, take it a few more times.
Recipe 5: Take a handful of tea leaves, 60g of crushed mung beans, and 10g of camphor leaves. Steep all ingredients in boiling water in a sealed container for about 15 minutes, then drink in several portions.
Lesson 6: 5g of tea buds, 16g of dried kumquats (or kumquat jam or fresh kumquats, chopped). Steep both in boiling water and drink the strong decoction.
Lesson 7: 9 g of tea buds, 60 g of fresh carrots, 15 g of green pumpkin peel. Boil these three ingredients together and drink the decoction.
Lesson 8: 50g of fresh betel nuts (remove the green peel and seeds), 12g of licorice root (half raw, half roasted with salt). Steep everything in boiling water in a sealed container for about 20 minutes, then it's ready to drink. Divide into several servings.
Lesson 9: Take 10g of kudzu flower (or kudzu root if unavailable) and boil it to make a decoction for drinking. Alternatively, steep 5g of tea leaves and 10g of mung beans in boiling water and drink in several portions.
Recipe 10: 50g lemon peel, 50g tangerine peel, 25g kudzu flower, 25g mung bean flower, 10g ginseng, 10g nutmeg, 30g salt. Dry the ingredients, grind them into a powder, and store in a sealed container for later use. When intoxicated, take 5-7g mixed with water and drink three times a day.
Acupressure massage
First, massage the love eye acupoint for 3-5 minutes.
Location of the Yaoyan acupoint: Raise the arms of the person suffering from dizziness and lean slightly to the side. The depressions on either side of the lower back (corresponding to the 4th lumbar vertebra) become visible. The acupoint is located in the middle of the bottom of the depression, 3.8 cun horizontally from the spinous process of the 4th lumbar vertebra.
Next, massage the Taichong acupoint for 3-5 minutes.
Location of the Taichong acupoint: Press the big toe against the second toe; the acupoint is located on the top of the foot, 2 inches above the tip of the toes. It can also be located at the midpoint of the line connecting the tip of the big toe to the horizontal crease of the ankle.
Finally, massage the entire top of the foot. If the intoxicated person can stand up, have them lean against a wall and use one heel to firmly press and massage the top of the other foot, then reverse the process, for 5-6 minutes.
The massage therapy described above can also be applied to people who, after drinking alcohol, feel sluggish, experience headaches and dizziness, and have difficulty speaking fluently.
In cases of severe alcohol poisoning due to excessive drinking, it is essential to take the individual to a medical facility for prompt examination and emergency treatment.
