The Party Central Committee Secretariat directs the handling of the case involving organized gambling and money laundering.
Today, the Secretariat of the Central Committee met under the chairmanship of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to hear reports from the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Department and related agencies on the results of the investigation into the case of "Organizing gambling, gambling, fraud, and money laundering."
The Secretariat of the Central Committee believes that this is a case of exceptionally large scale, using high technology, with particularly serious, complex, and sensitive characteristics, involving many people, sectors, and localities, including officers of the Public Security force, and attracting significant public attention.
The Party Committee of the Central Public Security Department and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security have proactively and actively directed professional units and the Phu Tho Provincial Police to initiate legal proceedings, investigate the case, and report the initial results to the Party Central Committee.
The Secretariat of the Central Committee requested the Party Committee of the Central Public Security Ministry to coordinate with relevant agencies to continue the investigation and expansion of the case, clarify the responsibilities of all involved individuals, and strictly handle the case in accordance with Party regulations and State laws, with a resolute, thorough, objective, accurate, and fair approach, ensuring that the right people are held accountable for the right violations and that the law is applied correctly.
