The Steering Committee on anti-corruption, waste and negativity of Nghe An province held its 14th meeting

Attending the meeting were comrade Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of Local Department I, Central Internal Affairs Committee in charge of Nghe An area; and comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Ho Le Ngoc - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Pham Trong Hoang; Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Chu The Huyen - Provincial Inspector.

Also attending were comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of relevant agencies and units.

The regular meeting aims to evaluate the results of the third quarter's task implementation, determine the direction and tasks for the fourth quarter of 2025, and discuss and give opinions on a number of contents within its authority.

In the third quarter of 2025, the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity will continue to receive strong leadership and direction from the Provincial Steering Committee, meeting practical requirements.

The Steering Committee has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the documents and conclusions of the General Secretary, Head of the Central Steering Committee at the sessions and meetings of the Central Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, ensuring that they are consistent with the actual situation of the province.

The Provincial Steering Committee has directed the review and handling of projects that are behind schedule, have long backlogs, are ineffective, cause loss and waste; and review and handle the management and use of public assets, houses and land in the process of rearranging the organization of the apparatus and administrative units.

The Provincial Steering Committee directed relevant agencies to review, adjust or continue implementing projects, works and headquarters affected by the administrative unit arrangement according to the Politburo's policy, ensuring efficiency, savings and avoiding loss and waste.

Along with that, the Provincial Steering Committee directed the prosecution agencies to focus on investigating and strictly handling corruption, waste and negative cases that the public is concerned about; and improve the effectiveness of recovering lost assets in related cases and incidents.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the Provincial Steering Committee determined to continue to closely follow the working program and regulations, focusing on directing Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units to effectively implement resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations and instructions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Central Steering Committee on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; strictly implementing regulations on power control, preventing corruption, waste and negativity in areas prone to arising.

The Provincial Steering Committee also requested to strengthen education work, build a culture of integrity, promote the spirit of being a role model, not corrupt and negative among cadres, party members and people; at the same time promote the role of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, socio-political organizations, press agencies and people in the fight against corruption, waste and negative behavior.
