Chieng village in Que Phong celebrates the National Unity Day.

To commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day, on the morning of November 10th, a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, led by Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command - attended the National Unity Day celebration in Chieng village, Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district.
Joining the delegation were Comrade Truong Minh Cuong - Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Que Phong District; along with representatives from the Party Committee, government, departments, and mass organizations of Hanh Dich commune, who came to celebrate with the people of Ban Chieng village.

Que Phong is a poor mountainous district in Nghe An province; it shares a 75 km border with Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. The poverty rate in the district is over 40%, and the near-poverty rate is nearly 25% (in Hanh Dich commune alone, nearly 44% of households are poor and 18% are near-poor).
Over the past period, the Party Committee and the government of Que Phong district have implemented many solutions to achieve breakthroughs in local socio-economic development. The district has promoted the "Joining Hands for the Poor" movement, promptly and effectively implementing projects under the national target program on rapid and sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2025… aiming to inspire the will and efforts of the people to overcome poverty.

In the district, many poor households have voluntarily submitted applications to be removed from the poverty list (including 5 households in Hanh Dich commune); 100% of children of school age attend school; 100% of poor and near-poor households participate in health insurance and have access to loans for production and business; security and national defense are constantly being strengthened.
The efforts and achievements of Que Phong district have affirmed the correctness of the Party's policy of national unity; they are proof of the effective implementation of the local national unity policy; and the unwavering will and determination of the people to strive forward.

Colonel Phan Dai Nghia suggested: In the coming time, the Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front of Hanh Dich commune and Chieng village should focus on strengthening propaganda, understanding, and implementation of the Resolutions of the Party Congress at all levels into the practical lives of the people; build and effectively implement plans to repair village roads and alleys, and build welfare facilities; promote the application of scientific and technological advancements in production, livestock farming, and cultivation; and continue to uphold the spirit and will of solidarity to build and develop the village, eliminating hunger and poverty.

On the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day - the festivalGreat unityOn behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia presented gifts to the Front Committee of Chieng village; gave 10 gifts to 10 poor households; and donated a provincial-level Solidarity House (worth 60 million VND) to one poor household in the village… On this occasion, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command donated tables and chairs (worth 20 million VND) to the Chieng village cultural house.
